About Us
The Bridge Community Church started when a group of seventeen people met in Pastor Andy's living room to pray, study the Bible, and dream about launching a new church together. With 93% of the San Francisco Bay Area not attending church on Sunday they knew there was a great need for a new church to reach a new generation of people. Their vision and calling was to create a church that worshipped God and embraced people of all races, cultures, and socio-economic class.
Mission
The Bridge exists to reconcile the people of the Bay Area (and beyond) to God and to each other, as they connect, grow and serve in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bridge has a special heart for the displaced, disadvantaged, and disabled of the world, believing that God is creating one new community for himself in Jesus Christ.
Values
The primary values of The Bridge are faith, hope and love. They value faith because without faith it is impossible to please God. They value hope, especially as they eagerly await their adoption as God's children (Romans 8:23). They value love because it is the only virtue that truly lasts forever.

Affiliations
The Bridge Community Church is a part of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). Founded in 1885 by Scandinavian immigrants, the ECC values the Bible as the Word of God, the gift of God's grace and an ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through faith in Jesus Christ, the importance of extending God's love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity.
Beliefs
Consistent with classical Christianity, The Bridge affirms as central to its life and thought a number of evangelical emphases. Foremost among these are the following:
- the centrality of the Word of God,
- the necessity of new birth in Christ,
- a commitment to the whole mission of the Church,
- a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit, and
- the reality of freedom in Christ.
As a new church, The Bridge Community Church is supported by faithful generosity of Great Exchange Covenant (Santa Clara, CA), and New Life Covenant (San Jose, CA).
